History Morgan Consulting, Inc. was incorporated in the state of Florida in 1971 and initially provided consulting services for local government contractors and industry. In May of 1971 MCi began to pursue and obtain prime contracts with various government agencies for the design and manufacture of special purpose data processing systems. This shift in emphasis resulted in creation of a 'dba', Morgan Data Systems. For the next two years, the MDS concentrated on expansion using prime government contracts as a base. In the summer of 1973 MDS began a development program to produce a general purpose micro-processor based computer board and various interface modules. MDS used this line of modules to implement custom instruments and equipment for it's customers. Refer to the Contracts (PDF) file for a list of typical applications that utilized our embedded microprocessor technology. In January of 1978, we decided to pursue a commercial venture in the telecommunication area. We saw an opportunity to utilize some of the technologies we had successfully employed in government applications in this new area, specifically the use of embedded microprocessors and networking technology. Later that year the Company's first Call Center system was made operational. In 1981 the decision was made to concentrate solely on this product area and to make the product more general purpose to satisfy the industry's needs. AnswerNet was created and we began a national marketing campaign through magazine ads and participation in trade shows. AnswerNet was installed in locations in the US and Canada and was heralded as a very user friendly, reliable solution for small Call Center operations. In 1992 another corporation was formed, Morgan Comtec, Inc., to develop the next generation of AnswerNet. A-Net II continues to be marketed throughout North America. Having completed the development of its telecommunications product , Morgan Consulting, Inc. has returned to its first love, keeping abreast of the latest technology to provide engineering consulting services. Recent Projects A variety of PCB layouts 1394B Test System Wrote a 1294B filter driver an dintegrated it into a test environment for use in unit acceptance tests and ultimately in manufacturing quality control of 1394B interface modules.
